Do you know?

Deltas are ‘wedge-shaped’ packet of sediments and generally have coarsening-up successions.

Deformation in deltas could be associated with subsidence, growth faults, roll-over anticlines, compaction, mud diapirs and soft-sediment deformation.

Understanding of the origin of a sandbody (e.g. from cores and log analysis) may be used to infer (predict) the 3D geometry of the sandbody.
