Achnacarry Agreement – In 1928, the oil industry faced a lot of problems including overcapacity and falling prices. Chief executives of major companies gathered in Achnacarry to reach the ‘Pool Association’ agreement. It was meant to ensure efficient construction of facilities, balance demand and supply and to share production amongst them.
